Description: | The proposal concerns a large unbuilt area that is part of the urban pattern of Kufa, which houses the museum, the Grand Mosque, the shrine of Al-Tammar Meytham and the palace of Dar Al-Imara. The aim of the proposal is to create an organic and homogeneous system to improve the use of the area, thus improving its relationship with the city. The project can be divided into several elements: routes, deduced from archaeological evidence, that connect the key areas of the site; areas with facilities, which mark the entrances to the site and offer shade along the routes as well as provide support facilities (e.g., the hammam); archaeological areas, whose excavations will be implemented, to be equipped with visitors routes paying special attention to the palace of Dar Al-Imara. |
